anita moduliert
is a side project of Anita Cäcilia Neukirch with a focus on sound and music composition based in the Rhein-Main area, Germany.
While she studies Cultural Anthropology and Critical Media Education at the University of Mainz, she seeks to understand societal phenomena, such as digitisation with its promising but also alien aspects of
the human experience.
As she has a keen interest in immersive art forms, she uses digital and analogue producing techniques to shape harmonic textures. Within this terrain, she is exploring electronic dimensions of sonic matter to evolve her compositional capabilities.
She is usually looking for creative entanglements with other artists and cultural creaters to realise interdisciplinary projects, whereby she takes part in melting her musical and technical knowledge with keyboard instruments, cables and modules into journeys open to explore.

Her EP
« SPECULATIVE TEMPLES »
is currently still in production.
At its core, this project endeavors an interpolation between ancient and present times. Since the Renaissance, ancient times have become an object of humanist speculation. Concepts of Self-care and Stoicism in ancient greek philosophy have been investigated that nowadays reveal their power as a remedy that helps to navigate through the chaos of the digital age with its surplus of information and its myriad conspiracy theories.
Based upon this awareness, she aims to trigger ruptures through creating sonic spaces to offer sensual experiences for reflection. As speculative as these spaces are as promptly shall be their sense of sharing the necessity of adopting an agency that builds a fortress against maelstroms of digitisation.
Within her practise, she explores sound as repetitive material in its static and fluid forms as well as its evoking immersive effects. She delves into techniques of minimal music and modular synthesis and blends them with kinds of etherealness. Currently, she seeks vocal collaborators to try out a stylistic crossover for a 'minimal madrigal' experiment. She composes lyrical textures with self-patched sets of oscillators and modulating sequences that form holding patterns to invite the contemporary spiritual seeker to states of contemplation.
